BATTLING LUST AND ADDICTION






Rom 12:1 I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that ye present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable unto God, which is your reasonable service.

Mar 9:47 And if thine eye offend thee, pluck it out: it is better for thee to enter into the kingdom of God with one eye, than having two eyes to be cast into hell fire:

Mar 9:48 Where their worm dieth not, and the fire is not quenched.

1Th 4:3 For this is the will of God, even your sanctification, that ye should abstain from fornication:

1Th 4:4 That every one of you should know how to possess his vessel in sanctification and honour;

The Apocrypha: Susanna: As the story goes, a fair Hebrew wife named Susanna was falsely accused by lecherous voyeurs. As she bathes in her garden, having sent her attendants away, two lustful elders secretly observe the lovely Susanna.

There dwelt a man in Babylon, called Joacim:


2 And he took a wife, whose name was Susanna, the daughter of Chelcias, a very fair woman, and one that feared the Lord.

3 Her parents also were righteous, and taught their daughter according to the law of Moses.


4 Now Joacim was a great rich man, and had a fair garden joining unto his house: and to him resorted the Jews; because he was more honourable than all others.

5 The same year were appointed two of the ancients of the people to be judges, such as the Lord spake of, that wickedness came from Babylon from ancient judges, who seemed to govern the people.

6 These kept much at Joacim's house: and all that had any suits in law came unto them.

7 Now when the people departed away at noon, Susanna went into her husband's garden to walk.



8 And the two elders saw her going in every day, and walking; so that their lust was inflamed toward her.

9 And they perverted their own mind, and turned away their eyes, that they might not look unto heaven, nor remember just judgments.

10 And albeit they both were wounded with her love, yet durst not one shew another his grief.

11 For they were ashamed to declare their lust, that they desired to have to do with her.

12 Yet they watched diligently from day to day to see her.

13 And the one said to the other, Let us now go home: for it is dinner time.

14 So when they were gone out, they parted the one from the other, and turning back again they came to the same place; and after that they had asked one another the cause, they acknowledged their lust: then appointed they a time both together, when they might find her alone.


15 And it fell out, as they watched a fit time, she went in as before with two maids only, and she was desirous to wash herself in the garden: for it was hot.


16 And there was no body there save the two elders, that had hid themselves, and watched her.


17 Then she said to her maids, Bring me oil and washing balls, and shut the garden doors, that I may wash me.

18 And they did as she bade them, and shut the garden doors, and went out themselves at privy doors to fetch the things that she had commanded them: but they saw not the elders, because they were hid.

19 Now when the maids were gone forth, the two elders rose up, and ran unto her, saying,

20 Behold, the garden doors are shut, that no man can see us, and we are in love with thee; therefore consent unto us, and lie with us.

21 If thou wilt not, we will bear witness against thee, that a young man was with thee: and therefore thou didst send away thy maids from thee.

22 Then Susanna sighed, and said, I am straitened on every side: for if I do this thing, it is death unto me: and if I do it not I cannot escape your hands.

23 It is better for me to fall into your hands, and not do it, than to sin in the sight of the Lord.

24 With that Susanna cried with a loud voice: and the two elders cried out against her.

25 Then ran the one, and opened the garden door.

26 So when the servants of the house heard the cry in the garden, they rushed in at the privy door, to see what was done unto her.

27 But when the elders had declared their matter, the servants were greatly ashamed: for there was never such a report made of Susanna.

28 And it came to pass the next day, when the people were assembled to her husband Joacim, the two elders came also full of mischievous imagination against Susanna to put her to death;

29 And said before the people, Send for Susanna, the daughter of Chelcias, Joacim's wife. And so they sent.

30 So she came with her father and mother, her children, and all her kindred.

31 Now Susanna was a very delicate woman, and beauteous to behold.

32And these wicked men commanded to uncover her face, (for she was covered) that they might be filled with her beauty.

33 Therefore her friends and all that saw her wept.

34 Then the two elders stood up in the midst of the people, and laid their hands upon her head.

35 And she weeping looked up toward heaven: for her heart trusted in the Lord.

36 And the elders said, As we walked in the garden alone, this woman came in with two maids, and shut the garden doors, and sent the maids away.

37 Then a young man, who there was hid, came unto her, and lay with her.

38 Then we that stood in a corner of the garden, seeing this wickedness, ran unto them.

39 And when we saw them together, the man we could not hold: for he was stronger than we, and opened the door, and leaped out.

40 But having taken this woman, we asked who the young man was, but she would not tell us: these things do we testify.

41 Then the assembly believed them as those that were the elders and judges of the people: so they condemned her to death.

42 Then Susanna cried out with a loud voice, and said, O everlasting God, that knowest the secrets, and knowest all things before they be:

43 Thou knowest that they have borne false witness against me, and, behold, I must die; whereas I never did such things as these men have maliciously invented against me.


44 And the Lord heard her voice.



45 Therefore when she was led to be put to death, the Lord raised up the holy spirit of a young youth whose name was Daniel:

46 Who cried with a loud voice, I am clear from the blood of this woman.


47 Then all the people turned them toward him, and said, What mean these words that thou hast spoken?

48 So he standing in the midst of them said, Are ye such fools, ye sons of Israel, that without examination or knowledge of the truth ye have condemned a daughter of Israel?

49 Return again to the place of judgment: for they have borne false witness against her.

50 Wherefore all the people turned again in haste, and the elders said unto him, Come, sit down among us, and shew it us, seeing God hath given thee the honour of an elder.

51 Then said Daniel unto them, Put these two aside one far from another, and I will examine them.

52 So when they were put asunder one from another, he called one of them, and said unto him, O thou that art waxen old in wickedness, now thy sins which thou hast committed aforetime are come to light.


53 For thou hast pronounced false judgment and hast condemned the innocent and hast let the guilty go free; albeit the Lord saith, The innocent and righteous shalt thou not slay.


54 Now then, if thou hast seen her, tell me, Under what tree sawest thou them companying together? Who answered, Under a mastick tree.


55 And Daniel said, Very well; thou hast lied against thine own head; for even now the angel of God hath received the sentence of God to cut thee in two.

56 So he put him aside, and commanded to bring the other, and said unto him, O thou seed of Chanaan, and not of Juda, beauty hath deceived thee, and lust hath perverted thine heart.

57 Thus have ye dealt with the daughters of Israel, and they for fear companied with you: but the daughter of Juda would not abide your wickedness.



58 Now therefore tell me, Under what tree didst thou take them companying together? Who answered, Under an holm tree.


59 Then said Daniel unto him, Well; thou hast also lied against thine own head: for the angel of God waiteth with the sword to cut thee in two, that he may destroy you.

60 With that all the assembly cried out with a loud voice, and praised God, who saveth them that trust in him.


61 And they arose against the two elders, for Daniel had convicted them of false witness by their own mouth:


62 And according to the law of Moses they did unto them in such sort as they maliciously intended to do to their neighbour: and they put them to death. Thus the innocent blood was saved the same day.


63 Therefore Chelcias and his wife praised God for their daughter Susanna, with Joacim her husband, and all the kindred, because there was no dishonesty found in her.


64 From that day forth was Daniel had in great reputation in the sight of the people.


1Pe 4:3 For the time past of our life may suffice us to have wrought the will of the Gentiles, when we walked in lasciviousness, lusts, excess of wine, revellings, banquetings, and abominable idolatries:

Rom 6:7 For he that is dead (Repentant) is freed from sin (Death).

Rom 6:12 Let not sin therefore reign (Rule) in your mortal body, that ye should obey it in the lusts thereof.

Rom 6:13 Neither yield (Give in) ye your members as instruments of unrighteousness unto sin: but yield yourselves unto God, as those that are alive from the dead, and your members as instruments of righteousness unto God. (Doing the service of The Most High)

Rom 6:14 For sin shall not have dominion over you: for ye are not under the (sacrificial) law, but under grace.

Rom 6:15 What then? shall we sin, because we are not under the law, but under grace? God forbid.

Rom 6:16 Know ye not, that to whom ye yield yourselves servants to obey, his servants ye are to whom ye obey; whether of sin unto death (Satan), or of obedience unto righteousness (God)?

Rom 13:13 Let us walk honestly, as in the day; not in rioting and drunkenness, not in chambering and wantonness, not in strife and envying.

Rom 13:14 But put ye on the Lord Jesus Christ, and make not provision for the flesh, to fulfil the lusts thereof.


2 Esdras 16:67 Behold, God himself is the judge, fear him: leave off from your sins, and forget your iniquities, to meddle no more with them for ever: so shall God lead you forth, and deliver you from all trouble.

Rom 7:14 For we know that the law is spiritual (Godly): but I am carnal (fleshly), sold under sin (prone to do evil).

Jer 4:22 For my people is foolish, they have not known me; they are sottish children, and they have none understanding: they are wise to do evil, but to do good they have no knowledge.

Rom 7:15 For that which I do I allow not: for what I would, that do I not (the thing that I want to do, I’m not doing. I know I’m supposed to keep the commandments but I’m not.); but what I hate, that do I (I hate to break the commandments and God but I find myself just doing it. Why? I’m prone to doing sin, this flesh I got is making it easy to sin. That’s just what I do.)

Rom 7:16 If then I do that which I would not (that I don’t want to do), I consent unto the law that it is good (that the law is good because that’s the only thing that’s going to keep me from doing what I truly want to do, the law is good).

Rom 7:17 Now then it is no more I that do it, but sin that dwelleth in me (That’s that old man that’s still in you, full of sin; yep, he’s fighting!).

Rom 7:18 For I know that in me (that is, in my flesh,) (my members, my body, my flesh) dwelleth no good thing (there’s no good in any of us, there’s no good people in the world unless they’re keeping the commandments. Because we are naturally evil and prone too evil especially in this captivity; “Sex sales”.): for to will is present with me (I know what I’m supposed to do; at all times); but how to perform that which is good I find not (When you’re living in the flesh, there is nothing that won’t stop you, unless the commandments of God are dwelling in you and you are applying them. There is nothing that will stop you when you’re alone with someone other than your spouse, from pulling the trigger. At that point, you don’t give a damn about your kids, you ain’t worried about them, not worried about anybody you gone hurt, at this point your flesh wants that feeling to be quenched and it’s going to act on it until it gets done. That’s what Paul is saying.)

Rom 7:19 For the good that I would I do not: but the evil which I would not, that I do (Now, what we’re going through is “The Battle” we’re having our spirits tested, we’re being proved of God himself. The spiritual battle vs. the physical battle. Bring the body into subjection and keeping God’s commandments--not sinning, keeping the laws and getting eternal life—not lusting, but trying to find somebody to marry, and proving them before we do so. If you know you’re NOT a ONE woman/man person, you need to fast and pray and build your spirit up until you are.  There’s nothing worse than bringing your devils into the life of someone who was single and maybe lonely but at peace in their life and here you come bring chaos and Demons. DON’T DO IT! Stay single, get yourself together, God’s judgment comes in many forms; that person may eventually become your executioner; “Thin Line Between Love and Hate”.

Rom 6:23 For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.

Rom 7:20 Now if I do that I would not, it is no more I that do it, but sin that dwelleth in me.

Rom 7:21 I find then a law, that, when I would do good, evil is present with me (I know what I’m supposed to do, but I’m still thinking evil thoughts and I want to act on them.)

Zec 3:1 And he shewed me Joshua the high priest standing before the angel of the LORD, and Satan standing at his right hand to resist him.

Zec 3:2 And the LORD said unto Satan, The LORD rebuke thee, O Satan; even the LORD that hath chosen Jerusalem rebuke thee: is not this a brand plucked out of the fire?

Paul said, “Evil is always present with me.” Yeah, we all want to keep the commandments and live forever, Satan is right there beside you tempting you the whole way. When that LUST he done found out you love, comes up, he whispers in your mind, “Go get her…you’re in the dark…nobody sees you…tell her don’t say anything and you won’t say anything…nobody knows but y’all…I’ll make sure I take care of everything for you.” So, Satan is there beside you but you have someone fighting for you also, which is The Most High; but you don’t listen to that voice. You turn that completely off, until you fulfill that lustful urge, then all this shame, guilt and regret comes on you, “Aww, I shouldn’t have done that, Lord why couldn’t I have just walked away, said no, controlled myself? I’m in trouble now, oh if they find out, I’m done.” The Most High was rebuking Satan for you, but you weren’t listening to Him. You were listening to that other voice; that’s always present with you.

Ecclesiasticus 33:14 Good is set against evil, and life against death: so is the godly against the sinner, and the sinner against the godly.


1Pe 5:8 Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil, as a roaring lion, walketh about, seeking whom he may devour:

That’s what’s going on, good is always with you the law and commandments is there, but best believe evil is right there present with you, looking for he could devour. Whatever it is that you haven’t purged from your flesh yet. If you’re doing the same evil things today as you did in the past before you repented, be honest with yourself, you have not changed. It could be anger, smoking cigarettes & blunts, watching porn, lying, talebearers, pedophilia, homosexuality, whore mongering, adultery, lusting, you used to be a stripper, you want that fast money, drug dealer; Satan is right there and he is always looking to hem you up.

Example: You know how he does it? He’ll trick you into keeping somebody’s number in your phone that you know you used to pull capers with, and you say in your own mind, “One day I’m going to give them the truth, I’m going to keep them in my phone and send them videos”; that’s Satan. You’re making provisions for the flesh just in case. You were supposed to cut them off like Christ said.


Jas 1:13 Let no man say when he is tempted, I am tempted of God: for God cannot be tempted with evil, neither tempteth he any man:



Heb 10:26 For if we sin wilfully after that we have received the knowledge of the truth, there remaineth no more sacrifice for sins,


Jas 1:14 But every man is tempted, when he is drawn away of his own lust, and enticed.

Jas 1:15 Then when lust hath conceived, it bringeth forth sin: and sin, when it is finished, bringeth forth death.


Jas 1:16 Do not err, my beloved brethren.


1Co 10:13 There hath no temptation taken you but such as is common to man: but God is faithful, who will not suffer you to be tempted above that ye are able; but will with the temptation also make a way to escape, that ye may be able to bear it.


Rom 7:21 I find then a law, that, when I would do good, evil is present with me (I know what I’m supposed to do, but I’m still thinking evil thoughts and I want to act on them.)

Rom 7:22 For I delight in the law of God after the inward man:

We all want to please God, on the inward man.



Rom 7:23 But I see another law in my members, warring against the law of my mind, and bringing me into captivity to the law of sin (death) which is in my members.

So, what would be the other law that he sees in his member? Does anybody know what would make him keep doing what he doesn’t want to do, going back and forth?  It’s our “instincts”, our “impulses” that’s that other law that’s in you. It’s in your members and warring, back and forth.

Rom 7:24 O wretched man that I am! who shall deliver me from the body of this death?


Rom 7:25 I thank God through Jesus Christ our Lord. So then with the mind I myself serve the law of God (TMH’s laws); but with the flesh the law of sin (Everyday put the old man to death).

Eph 4:22 That ye put off concerning the former conversation the old man, which is corrupt according to the deceitful lusts;

Eph 4:23 And be renewed in the spirit of your mind;

Eph 4:24 And that ye put on the new man, which after God is created in righteousness and true holiness.

1Co 15:31 I protest by your rejoicing which I have in Christ Jesus our Lord, I die daily.

Rom 8:5 For they that are after the flesh do mind the things of the flesh; but they that are after the Spirit the things of the Spirit.

Rom 8:6 For to be carnally (fleshly) minded is death; but to be spiritually (lawfully) minded is life and peace.

Rom 8:7 Because the carnal mind is enmity (An enemy of/an adversary to) against God: for it is (lawless, ungovernable, unruly, disruptive, anarchic, disorderly, rebellious, wild) not subject to the law of God, neither indeed can be (Heathenistic).

When you want to fulfill the lust of your flesh, when you get that urge to do whatever it might be, it’s a whole number of different sins out there; when you want to fulfill the lust of that flesh—you become the enemy of God. You’re showing hatred toward God. God has a special gift waiting for those who hate Him and His enemies.

JUDGMENT TO GOD’S ENEMIES:

 Deu 32:41 If I whet my glittering sword, and mine hand take hold on judgment; I will render vengeance to mine enemies, and will reward them that hate me.

Deu 7:10 And repayeth them that hate him to their face, to destroy them: he will not be slack to him that hateth him, he will repay him to his face.

Isa 1:24 Therefore saith the Lord, the LORD of hosts, the mighty One of Israel, Ah, I will ease me of mine adversaries, and avenge me of mine enemies:

Isa 59:18 According to their deeds, accordingly he will repay, fury to his adversaries, recompence to his enemies; to the islands he will repay recompence.

Isa 66:6 A voice of noise from the city, a voice from the temple, a voice of the LORD that rendereth recompence to his enemies.

Luk 19:27 But those mine enemies, which would not that I should reign over them, bring hither, and slay them before me.

Rom 8:8 So then they that are in the flesh cannot please God.

Gal 5:16 This I say then, Walk in the Spirit (Rom 7:14) , and ye shall not fulfil the lust of the flesh. (Deu 30:19)

Whenever that moment comes, where you have to choose life or death; like Moses set before us in (Deu 30:15-20) you better go and rely on the spirit, walk in the spirit (Rom 7:14).

Gal 5:17 For the flesh lusteth against the Spirit, and the Spirit against the flesh: and these are contrary the one to the other (Can’t walk in the spirit and the flesh together, can’t do both; you will be tried to see which side you’re on): so that ye cannot do the things that ye would (that old man that’s still in you, full of sin; yep, he’s fighting! Satan waiting on you to give him the opportunity).

Gal 5:18 But if ye be led of the Spirit (Rom 7:14), ye are not under the law (Because you’re doing what you are supposed to be doing according to the law already).

1Ti 1:8 But we know that the law is good, if a man use it lawfully;

1Ti 1:9 Knowing this, that the law is not made for a righteous man, but for the lawless and disobedient, for the ungodly and for sinners, for unholy and profane, for murderers of fathers and murderers of mothers, for manslayers,

1Ti 1:10 For whoremongers, for them that defile themselves with mankind, for menstealers, for liars, for perjured persons, and if there be any other thing that is contrary to sound doctrine (Prov 4:2);

Gal 5:19 Now the works of the flesh are manifest, which are these; Adultery, fornication, uncleanness, lasciviousness (a person's evil covetous behavior that is driven by intense thoughts of sex),

Gal 5:20 Idolatry, witchcraft, hatred, variance, emulations (hatred), wrath, strife, seditions, heresies,

Gal 5:21 Envyings, murders, drunkenness, revellings (clubbing), and such like: of the which I tell you before, as I have also told you in time past, that they which do such things shall not inherit the kingdom of God.

1Co 6:9 Know ye not that the unrighteous shall not inherit the kingdom of God? Be not deceived: neither fornicators, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor effeminate, nor abusers of themselves with mankind,

1Co 6:10 Nor thieves, nor covetous, nor drunkards, nor revilers, nor extortioners, shall inherit the kingdom of God.

1Jo 2:3 And hereby we do know that we know him, if we keep his commandments.

1Jo 2:4 He that saith, I know him, and keepeth not his commandments, is a liar, and the truth is not in him.

1Jo 2:5 But whoso keepeth his word, in him verily is the love of God perfected: hereby know we that we are in him.

1Jo 2:6 He that saith he abideth in him (Christ) ought himself also so to walk, even as he (Christ) walked.

Heb 2:17 Wherefore in all things it behoved him to be made like unto his brethren, that he might be a merciful and faithful high priest in things pertaining to God, to make reconciliation for the sins of the people.

Heb 2:18 For in that he himself hath suffered being tempted, he is able to succour them that are tempted.

Rev 21:7 He that overcometh (temptation & sins- 1Jo 5:3-4 & 1Jo 2:15) shall inherit all things; and I will be his God, and he shall be my son.

1Jo 5:3 For this is the love of God, that we keep his commandments: and his commandments are not grievous.

1Jo 5:4 For whatsoever is born of God overcometh the world: and this is the victory that overcometh the world, even our faith (Christ).

1Jo 2:15 Love not the world, neither the things that are in the world. If any man love the world, the love of the Father is not in him.

1Jo 2:16 For all that is in the world, the lust of the flesh, and the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life, is not of the Father, but is of the world.

Jhn 16:33 These things I (Christ) have spoken unto you, that in me ye might have peace. In the world ye shall have tribulation: but be of good cheer; I have overcome the world.

We MUST overcome the lust of our flesh and the lust of our eyes; the pride of life: adultery, fornication, lying, not knowing how to treat your brothers, not knowing how to treat your sisters, not knowing how to treat your wife, not knowing how to treat your husband, not knowing how to reverence the authority given to him by The Most High, nor take seriously the role assigned to “you” the wife by the Most High. All these things we must be taught; cause in order to make it we have to overcome the world. Christ is coming back for 144,000 carbon copies of himself. So, if Christ overcame the world, he said “These things I have spoken unto you, that in me ye might have peace.” Why? Because He overcame the world, He gave us the blueprint on how to do it, right here in this Bible.

Heb 4:15 For we have not an high priest which cannot be touched with the feeling of our infirmities; but was in all points tempted like as we are, yet without sin.

Christ was tempted in ALL points, yet He did no sin. He was tested with lust, so there’s no excuse. He paved the way, He gave us a great example. So, when you think you’re alone and you have no one to lean on, open up this book, fast and pray also call on proven brothers and sisters (counselors) in this walk and get support to overcome these fiery trials. We have a King who knows how we feel, whose sympathetic to the things you’re going through and what its like to be human. Christ was tempted with pride and power yet he stood bold and did no sin.

1Pe 2:21 For even hereunto were ye called: because Christ also suffered for us, leaving us an example, that ye should follow his steps:

1Co 10:13 There hath no temptation taken you but such as is common to man: but God is faithful, who will not suffer you to be tempted above that ye are able; but will with the temptation also make a way to escape, that ye may be able to bear it.

The Most High knows our breaking point, He will never allow us to be tempted more than we are able. These trials are never going to be the easy stuff concerning the outside appearance, it’s always a trial that tests your inner man, and those deep sins lying dormant in you, the ones you thought you got away from. Remember, the Most High proves the heart, your inner being. It’s going to be one of those situations where if you don’t confess it to someone, only you and the Most High knows, nobody will ever find out what you’re dealing with. That’s where the Most High will continually try your spirit until every ounce of that madness is purged from you, then will you be truly worthy of being His child; righteous and blameless.

Jas 1:12 Blessed is the man that endureth temptation: for when he is tried, he shall receive the crown of life, which the Lord hath promised to them that love him.

That’s why the Most High has to put us through trials and tribulation; so, at the end your will get eternal life. He’s not like giving that up to just anybody who can’t control themselves that think they can get away with evil when they think nobody’s looking at them, in the dark. That old man right there,” Maybe God won’t see my evil when I walk through the gates.”

Sirach 23:19 Such a man only feareth the eyes of men, and knoweth not that the eyes of the Lord are ten thousand times brighter than the sun, beholding all the ways of men, and considering the most secret parts.

Jas 4:7 Submit yourselves therefore to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you. (Quote the laws aloud and the devil will flee)
